I have a Mannequin and Display Cabinet. I am hoping to get a bust soon.
The Mannequin (Who I got from F.X) at the moment is ''nude'' but I am hoping to get an M42 GreatCoat for him quite soon (From F.X). He is going to be holding up my TruppenFahrrad in my room (Yes, the bike will be in my room once it's been restored). I know it's unusual to ride a bike in a GreatCoat but it was done (I think ?). I think I will make him a rifleman (nothing special ) with a K98 and basic equipment (on the front, you can't see the back). The bike will hold the other basics .
The Cabinet is half full of ALL original personall items (about half from F.X ).
The bust (I have not got yet) is going to be an early war soldier with the rubberised gas cape pouch on his chest and an M36 tunic etc. I am going to save for an original M36 tunic (I say about £750-1000 for a good one ?). This is in the future at the moment since I have to dress the mannequin and the bike and start to fill the other hallf of the cabinet etc etc.
Just thought i'd let you in on my plans for my ''mini'' museum. Yes, there is still room for my bed ect. But it will be very packed once done (it's the smallest bed-room in the house ).
I am slowly getting my basics sorted. Don't Worry !
I go through times where I must have the ''Must Have'' item. Like bicycles, they are the new ''thing to have'' I got mine just before this new must have.
I am now after a VolksRadio. Like the one below...Does anyone know where I can get one for my ''mini museum''?
Thanks,
Nathan

Moving swiftly on ...my TruppenFahrrad is getting resotred as many of you know. The restoration is going well. So far so good. We've decided to not get parts powder coated and leave the antique look about it (no point in having a facory fresh looking bike and having a old and worn badge on the front). We've also decided to use a standard ''off the shelf'' mat black spary paint rather than get it computer matched from the box. We are also now leaving the box as it is (again to keep the ''antique look'' about the bike).
Some parts have already been primed ready for the mat black.
Thanks,
Nathan
P.S Bauer, will you be at The War and Peace Show?
