I'm afraid to say that the Japan trip for work (the original dates of which caused me to miss Beltring) has been moved to the 24th/25th August , so it seems unlikely that I will be able to make Detling. I believe that we are travelling out there on the 24th, so it might be possible for me to come up for the Saturday and travel back Saturday evening or Sunday morning... or, it could be cancelled at short notice again (my boss isn't great at telling me what's going on, as she's never there!). Hopefully, I should have a better idea of what's what soon. It will certainly be very annoying if it causes me to miss another whole event, especially if it proves to be a no-go.
Anyway, fingers crossed I'll be able to make it for the Saturday at least...
Also, I'll give George (the new lad from 916 me and Krieg thought might be suitable for PFGD) a ring to see if he wants to come along.
On a lighter note, I hope everyone is well since I last saw them and I'll definitely be up for the private battle that Nick mentioned via email.
I'll definitely be there. Wendy may be coming up with me and if she does I will be camping with her on the public site. If she does, we'll arrive Friday afternoon. If not, I'll get there Saturday morning.
With regards to myself, I take it admission is free for living history group members taking part?
Anyone going as public to this event? I should be their in uniform (with the Luftwaffe Society-even though I'll be dressed as 352nd, 915). Maybe I could meet up with one of you, I'll be meeting up with R.A.U to buy some more basics!
