A back to basics training event with four main areas to be covered. Attendees will have a good understanding and practical grasp of the fundamentals of each of the following areas upon its completion.

Foot drill
Weapons training
Rifle drill
Tactical drills*

All subjects will be instructed with reference to relevant period German military literature/sources.

Further information regarding timings, equipment requirements etc will be disseminated shortly.

Our sister unit, 2Kp Panzergrenadier GD will also be in attendance.

*From a 1944 tactical manual. All tactical instruction to date has been from early to mid war sources.

Hallo;

Looking forward to seeing you all bright and early tomorrow! With men coming from London, Cornwall, Scotland and Newcastle, we have certainly covered all four corners of the country!

There has been a lot of thought and preparation that has gone into this event, and we hope that all those who are attending enjoy it! This will be an excellent event for the new recruits to attend, and will also be of interest to the "old sweats" too - with new items to be learnt.

We are entering some as yet unknown territory, with the implementation of 1944 Panzergrenadier tactics. In conjunction with what we already use within our tactical impression, this really will help our ongoing development of operating in the field with as near 100% authenticity as possible.

My apologies in advance though, for HauptFeldwebel Kalten's cooking!!!

Safe trip to all and prepare for "Camp F"!

I'd like to thank the Fusiliers for training weekend just passed on behalf of the Panzer Grenadiers.

The weekend was without a doubt a success. Personally I enjoyed it immensely and I've had nothing put positive feedback from those who attended. With calls that we make this an annual or even bi-annual event.

Special thanks to:
*Max for arranging the weekend and his tuition
*Nick for showing me that I'm not the only sad person who find WW2 gruppen tactics interesting .
*Ron for the food and coffee, you truly are the Jamie Oliver of Field Kitchens :D

Hi chaps

Just a note to say a big thank you to all who attended the w/e and I trust you all had safe journeys home.

The attitude and effort put in by you all could not have been bettered in my opinion, and this event was undoubtedly the laying of a firm foundation, upon which our rejuvenated Living History group can only progress from.

A big well done in particular to our new recruits, and to our kameraden from 2Kp PGGD - we hope you enjoyed it.

Finally, thank you to HauptFeldwebel Kalten who truly was the "Mother of the Kompanie". We are lucky to have someone who is prepared to travel many, many miles, just to cook and provide coffee for everyone.

DDD!
