Hi there,
I had my own (''small'') display at the Royal GunPowder Mill's on the 3rd and 4th of May this year. A large percent of the display is original! What do you think?...
Thanks,
Nathan

Hi Nathan
Pleased to see you got there. Nice display.
Can I suggest that you try and get some appropriate items for the breadbag - make sure its full! You would have had it bulging with items, with it being your most convenient holder for food, socks, gloves and other soldierly neccessities.
Well done though, I do like it.
Most importantly, did you enjoy it? _________________ Unteroffizier Bauer

Hi there,
I enjoyed it, thats the main thing!
That is my new (should I say old) TruppenFahrrad. A few things needed fixing when I got it but since I rode it a few more thing have gone on the mend list (I broke a number of spokes on the back wheel).
Bread bag, could have been full of personal things but the things i've got are original and worth anything from £5.00 to £100.00 for one original item (my pockets were filled with things like...SKAT cards ORIGINAL, Scho-Ka-Kola (replica red cross tin), Soldbuch, gas decontamination bottle ORIGINAL, Boot Brushes POST WAR, Bread, Apples and a peppermint tin ORIGINAL etc
I didn't want to risk braking a £100.00, 70 year old bottle. Or get it stolen.
Thanks,
Nathan

Hi Nathan
Excellent, pleased you enjoyed it. That is the main thing when attending an event, that you the individual, enjoy it.
I understand your reluctance to place such expensive original items in your breadbag. I would suggest a repro "housewife", esbit, a coffee tin (any old looking thing will do), some repro socks etc. That will soon fill it out and make it "look" more appropriate.
Thanks for posting. _________________ Unteroffizier Bauer

Hi there,
Thats one of the things I forgot an original esbit cooker and repro boxes, thats another thing I had in my pocket. Also a repro wallet and lots of original and replica content . The repro socks I had were on my feet .
Thanks,
Nathan

| Hi Nathan I met you at Waltham Abbey and discussed your Truppenfahrrad with you I told you about Hercules bicycles being produced in nuremberg, hope you remember. Anyway well done with your display, it takes time to get all the things you need for a good impression, well done. Otto

Hi Nathan,
Well, I was at WAGPM (as a punter) and I am kicking myself 'cos I did not see your one man display. How on earth did I miss you?
I must say that I am well impressed with your efforts. Considering that there were some Axis groups there with a fair amount of original kit, I rate your little display as good as, if not better in some cases, due to your attention to detail and the remarkably good condition of all the items.
Well done Nathan!

Hi
I split Nathan's & Otto's two posts into a new thread "Truppenfahrrad Information" within the "Research Forum". I think they are more appropriate there.
