Hi Guys
Well thanks to Richard for the invite to your forums. Went thru it a bit and can't wait to read the rest.

We had amazing time at the Treffen this year and thanks to you all my Hauptfeldwebel fell asleep in the bathtub and one of the other guys thought he was going crazy and couldn't stop singing "Happy Birthday" for the next two days. Thanks a lot :D :D :D

You all go beyond the normal reenactment groups and I am very proud to be associated with you all. GD has unique groups and most are very dedicated. Like we say here in the states "Stop playing army, and start acting like one".

We are now getting ready for our 60+ mile rolling battle in the state forest in Pennsylvania just outside of Gettysburg. I have 75 GD 7te Kompanie attending more then 17 vehicles. The event will start on Friday afternoon and end Sunday morning. We have about 50 Allies providing the counter force so it should be a lot of fun. All the men can bring is what they can carry on their backs. The field kitchen will supply all meals and the unit will have to run the field 24 hours posting guards and moving out on a moments notice.

You all should consider coming to the states for an event next year. We run a 600+ man armor battle in March if you can you want let me know we can make arrangements for to pick you up and house you here.

Sorry for the long boring post will talk to you later.
In treue fest zu GD!

Herr Major!

An honour to have you on board. Danke Schoen!

We take no responsibility for "Bathtub Jim's" behaviour once he left that table, and are in no way responsible for his state of mind while he was with us...........blame the beer and Ratzeputz!

It reads like you have a monumental logistical operation to undertake to coordinate all those vehicles, equipment, troops etc for that event. Herding cats, huh? Best of GD luck to you!

Thank you for the invite, it would be great to be able to come over and 'play'. The same is of course extended to you, should you ever be in this neck of the woods I have a zeltbahn tent that you could stay in.......it comes with breakfast! :D

Kind regards,

Lt Hausser

Herr Major,

Good to see you on our Forum. Look forward to meeting up again next year.

Good luck with your upcoming tactical event. It would be nice for a few of us to make it over the pond to take part in one of your events. Perhaps I will before I "retire"!
