Just to let you know that the webmeister is finalising the second issue of our bi-monthly newsletter (Mai 2008) and will be remitted to all members imminently.

If you have not received your copy by say early next week, please drop either the webmeister or myself a line. Hardcopies will be sent to Hynds and Krieg. If anyone else would like a hardcopy let me know and I'll sort one out for you. Apologies for the slight delay of this issue, I'm afraid this was a result of circumstances outside our control.

I must say though that the quality of this periodical, in my opinion, is very good. The presentation is bordering on professional and the content interesting and relevant. I am very pleased with the results after only two editions. That said, we are already looking at it with a critical eye, in order to improve future issues.

It is hoped that the bi-monthly frequency will keep all members engaged in our portrayal and demonstrates both our past, present and future commitment as a unit, to provide quality in all that we do. To that end, I can guarantee some excellent articles already being lined up for the next two issues. I would like to say more but some things....... well..... are worth waiting for!

You should all have seen a copy of the first issue (März 2008), but should you have not (or would like a hardcopy) please don't hesitate to let the webmeister know.

Finally, we want articles from you all. Thus far we have had a great response regarding contributions and sincerely hope that this involvement continues.

Just to let you know that issue drei of the unit newsletter will be winging it's way to you soon. Apols for the delay gentlemen, but hopefully you will feel it was worth the wait. Personally, I feel it is our wonderful webmeister, Wolfgang from Wurtemburg's best effort to date.

Our webmeister (with both the newsletter and website) really is striving for what this unit stands for, quality in everything that we do. I am confident that provided we all continue to carry on in this manner, 2009 will prove to be a great success.

I am also very pleased to see contributions from the wider membership towards the content of the newsletter. Thanks for that and I hope you enjoy your read.

Just to let you know that forthcoming issue "vier" of the unit newsletter has sufficient content (pending Füsilier Tisserant's kriegsbericht).

That said, as per usual, we are always in need of further content. So should you have an idea, or see an article you feel is appropriate, please contact the webmeister und editor with your thoughts.

Remember, the unit is only as good as the effort that you put into it.

I should have the kriegsbericht completed by Wednesday at the latest.

As I understand it, the four edition of our very own in-house publication will be with you this month. A little something from the propaganda section for Christmas!

Well. it appears I missed posting that the January edition of our in-house newsletter was of good quality once again.

Just a note to say that I would appreciate contributions sent to the Webmeister over the next week for inclusion within our June issue. Please support the Herr Editor in maintaining the standards achieved to date.

Just a note to say that we will be compiling the June version of our in-house newsletter and so would encourage all those who have been unable to contribute to date, to help our hardworking webmeister and editor with some fresh content. Please get your contributions to the webmeister by the end of next week (29th May, 2009).

The January edition maintained the benchmark that has been set, but it would be nice to improve upon that with this issue.

Hello all

Hopefully by now you would have seen that the May edition of "Der Soldat", the unit newsletter is sitting in your emails, waiting to be read.

Thank you to the Herr Webmeister for maintaining the very high standards he has set himself. His efforts cetainly are the best I have seen within the living history newsletters I have seen. Thank you too to those who have contributed to both this edition and the next.

Finally, could I ask that should you have any feedback, good or bad, on your in-house publication, please let the Editor know. If there are certain articles you would like more of, or have ideas for an article that has not yet been thought of, contact him and contribute.

By now all members should have received their July issue of the unit newsletter. Thanks to all who contributed content and articles for what was hopefully a good read for you all. In particular our thanks goes to Gefreiter Deecke and Fusilier Andreas for their efforts in this edition.

To all those who are champing at the bit to send their contributions in for the September issue, nows the time to start typing! Please drop the Webmeister, the Herr Leutnant and myself an email with your suggested contributions. That way, the Webmeister can assess the layout for the next edition, and I can place a little tick against those who have contributed thus far!

Right maenner, just a heads up to say an email will be out soon detailing everyone's contributions provided thus far to the excellent in-house newsletter of PFRGD. From this you will be able to see who will be contributing to the next edition that is due soon.

Wolfie, please send out the email detailing the contributions made to all members asap. In addition, would you mind sending Fusilier Anselm Benkhoff all back issues since its inception. If you can't, please drop me an email.
