How are Y-straps supposed to attach to your belt? Via the metal hooks at the end of each, just hooked under your belt directly? Or are you supposed to attach them via D-rings?
Collar insigna, collar patches or collar tabs? The collar tabs look far easy to attach to a uniform than colllar patches I get the feeling they changed to the patches towards the end of the war, cheaper and easier to make??
If you have ammo pouches, the hooks attach to loops on them. With regards insignia, depending on where you buy your tunic, they may well be already sewn on. I got mine from Underwood and it came with insignia on the collar as well as the breast eagle.

A couple of questions if I may. It is probably just me but I am confused as to what you're referring to when it comes to the collar insignia.
Patches? Are you referring to colllar insignia that would be seen on SS/fallschirmjager tunics?
Tabs? I assume you are referring to "litzen" which are the rectangular insignia found on a werhmacht tunic?
Whatever you are referring to, there would be no choice as to preference, you would have to go with what was historically correct.
You say you have a tunic. Would you mind PMing me with a list of uniform/kit you have and where it was sourced from. We are strict on what is allowed and have preferred suppliers who match our criteria. If items are outside of this they may well be unsuitable for our unit's impression.
Pleased you have questions to ask, but we will clear up any ambiguity if you send me a kit list via PM.
Look forward to "hearing" from you.
