Hallo,

Quite the opposite! Although the late war PFRGD photos seem to indicate that the K98 was the predominant weapon of the soldier, it perhaps can be safely assumed that the MP44/StG44 was issued to troops within the regiment. Certainly the last known published photos of GD troops (Balga/Pillau) indicate that this weapon was by then quite common.

As we portray Fusiliers from the period '44-'45, then I would not encourage you to not buy one! The hardest thing is a) finding a Shoei, and b) finding the correct looking magazine pouches.

Good luck, and keep us posted.

DDD!

How much would a deactivated STG44 cost?

Hallo,

I noticed one for sale at Chatham last sunday for £1,800......

'old spec', I think? Not bad condition.

Credit crunch anyone?

That would 'crunch' my credit, or at least Wendy would crunch certain parts of my anatomy between two bricks if she found out I'd spent that much!!! K98 it will be then!!!
