Hi all :) ,

I've now got my copy of 'Deutsche Soldaten'...
A very good book! Worth £25.00!

I look through it and think 'I know where I can get a few of those'...
If it's in this book you can't go far wrong...

Although on the phone Ron said there are a few mistakes in the text and pictures...I'd like to know...

Are the cream-yellow butter dishes Post War, I always thought they were?
Also the wind and water matches in the dark red bakelite container, I though they were DDR?

Can someone on here say either way :?:

All the best :D ,
Nathan

Hallo,

I too have just picked up a copy of this book and have to agree that it is very good indeed.

With regards to the 'cream' fat dish, I have also been told by others far more knowledgable on such matters that these types are postwar Bundeswehr.

I had no idea that the red bakelite match containers are DDR? I have seen many reputable dealers selling these as original. I would be interested to learn more about this, but I reckon our resident experts are probably still wading through mince pies and turkey at the moment............

Great book though, well worth the money!

DDD!

Hallo :) ,

On the Wehrmacht Awards Forum the many collectors were arguing (Err...Discussing  ) about these matches in the Bakelite container...I have them myself and was just wondering about them...

As for the butter dish, I am also sure these are post war...

All the best :D ,
Nathan
