Well 2009 was on balance a very good year for PFRGD, and this was primarily due to two factors.

1) The choice of events attended by the unit suited our portrayal excellently. In addition, the organisers of all the events were very accomodating and welcoming to us, and for that we are truly grateful. We enhanced our reputation with the organisers through our professionalism, attitude and efforts, evidenced through very positive feedback. This can only stand us in good stead in the future.

2) The growth of the unit membership. We lost one member this year (which was expected, but nonetheless a sad loss), but this was compensated by six new members joining the ranks. Four of which were experienced, quality living historians, so the issues sometimes experienced by intergrating larger numbers was not experienced. It was a seamless fit. The remaining two "Young hares" have done excellently in getting their portrayal together thus far and I am confident they will contribute positively to our team efforts.

In addition to this, we have three "hot" leads for new recruits in 2010. Two are experienced living historians in this genre and the third, a very enthusiastic re-enactor from another century!

So, a pleasing event season, which will finish with a social event sometime in Nov/Dec. TBA.
